Minibus
Appleby Heritage Centre has a minibus. Colour red, Renault Master with cream signing. The bus will carry fifteen passengers plus a driver. It has lowering rear suspension and came equipped with an access ramp. It will carry two wheelchair bound passengers plus eleven others and a driver. The bus's primary function is to provide transport for sixth formers between Appleby and Kirkby Stephen Grammar Schools. Generally these are young people accessing the Centre's Post-16 training and education programmes. It will also be used to provide transport for other people wishing to use the Centre's facilities.
The bus is available for local community groups to hire (normally on a self-drive basis). Groups wishing to use the bus must affiliate to the Heritage Centre's Bus Group. The Heritage Centre is a member of the Midas Driver Training Programme and all drivers must be trained to this standard. Driver training will be available at the Heritage Centre.
